About Charrings!
My name is Charlie and I am the owner of Charrings!
I'm a 29 year old from Devon, UK but currently living in Stafford.
I am now a mum to a beautiful little girl called Hallie who was born in January 2026. I recently bought my own home with my boyfriend Sam (7 years in and still waiting for that ring) and my two cats, Smeagol and Wotsit.
I run Charrings full time alongside being a full time mum, so life is pretty chaotic but I'd have it no other way! I am a one woman business so i do everything from making the products, packing your orders, planning new releases, website management, product photography & customer service!

My Story

During lockdown in 2020 at the age of 23, I was battling with my mental health and staying indoors felt impossible. I'm a super creative person so I needed a creative hobby to distract myself from my anxiety and give myself a creative outlet. I tried bath bombs at first and they started fizzing without water.. that's when I knew it wasn't for me!! I started researching polymer clay and very quickly become obsessed, watching hundreds of Youtube videos, deep diving into all the possibilities with polymer clay and couldn't wait to get my hands on some. I realized how amazing it would be to create my own unique jewellery, ones that don't even exist. After a few months of constant research and practicing, I opened an Etsy shop and my boyfriend suggested the name Charrings... A mix between Charlie and earrings... I know, creative haha! Ever since, the name stuck!
After one year of Charrings, I was still fully in love with creating earrings, so I made it my mission for this to become my full time job. I was forever jumping between full time jobs from accounts, admin, receptionist and many other roles. I could never find a job i really enjoyed and hated being controlled by entitled managers.
I would work 8am-5pm at my full time job, then worked on Charrings every evening and all weekend every weekend. After 3 years, I finally decided to quit my full time job and attempt to pursue a career with Charrings. It was a massive risk and I can truly say it has been the best decision I have ever made. I had a lot of people in my life tell me it was a terrible decision, but I believed in myself and so did my boyfriend, and that's all I needed. I've since cut those people out of my life, including my own parents.
This job is my whole life, I even worked up until the day before giving birth and from 2 weeks postpartum. I am incredibly proud of the community I have created. I have met some amazing women online from customers to fellow small business owners. I can now proudly say I LOVE my job and have many plans for the growth of Charrings for the future, I would love to open shops and have our earrings known worldwide. Who knows what the future will bring, but I'm excited to find out!
If you've took the time to read this, thank you.. so so so much and I appreciate you being part of my journey! x
